Garrett is a freelance artist living in southern Alberta. His work depicts a wide variety of subject matter ranging from extinct animals to characters from film and television productions. When not working in his studio, Garrett enjoys hunting for fossils in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation, studying paleontology, collecting the remains of ice age horses and bison and spending time in the company of animals. He is incredibly fond of horses, often making them the subject of his work.
